Keely Angel is a multidisciplinary artist and teacher of contemplative and embodiment practices. A self-taught artist since childhood, her work spans a variety of mediums, most recently in oil, gouache and mixed media collage. Her collages, often minimalist in nature, use cuttings from vintage magazines to reflect on the societal narratives embedded in the mid-late 20th century. Through careful selection of textures, colors, and fragmented text, she creates visual pieces that explore themes of love, identity, societal expectations, and historical context. Her process is both intuitive and meditative, inviting viewers to reflect and find personal meaning in the layers of imagery.

In 2012, Keely began teaching meditation and yoga in New York City, guiding thousands of people of all ages and abilities in mind/body integration. With 13 years of experience, she has had the honor or helping thousands of students develop a deeper knowledge and connection to their bodies. Keely has been the Program Director of Wellness at Work since 2020, which brings wellness programs to corporate settings. Her holistic approach emphasizes mindfulness, breathwork, fascial release, and the power of movement as pathways to well-being.

Keely founded Collective Hand in 2015, a textile design studio rooted in sustainability and natural dyeing practices. Using organic materials like roots and flowers, she dyes fabrics by hand in small batches that are sewn into various products including eye pillows, pouches, decorative pillows and clothing. Collective Hand also takes on private label projects, creating custom textiles for home goods and fashion brands.

Inspired by her love for music, Keely founded The Body Electric NYC in 2019, where she produced "Full Body Concerts” that encouraged audiences to immerse themselves in the experience using solely their sense of hearing. Participants were invited to relax in cozy surroundings, lay down, and close or cover their eyes. Notable productions included the Qawwali band Fanna-fi-Allah and The Epichorus, featuring several Grammy-nominated musicians. The Body Electric was paused during the COVID pandemic, and she hopes to revive the events in her new home in Asbury Park, NJ.
